Great success for Charnwood Schools of Tae Kwon-Do at the TAGB North Midlands Championships held on 2nd September.

The tournament brought together Tae Kwon-Do students and instructors from all over the midlands area and spirits were high.

Charnwood TKD students won some
Hard-fought matches to reach medal positions and for some this was their first ever tournament!

Medal positions:
L. Akin – Bronze in Patterns
M. Akin – Silver in Sparring
M. Marshalsey – Gold in Sparring (first ever tournament!)
N. Orton – Bronze in Sparring

Unfortunately the power test event only had a medal for 1st place but Mr N. Southorn actually placed 2nd in the power test event. This was his first ever tournament too.

Well done to all who attended and look forward to the next event which is the British Championships later this year!
