What Is Tae Kwon-Do

Tae Kwon-Do is a form of Martial Art developed in the Korean Armed Forces by Major-General Choi Hong Hi. “Tae” means to jump, kick or smash with the foot, “Kwon” means a fist, chiefly to punch or destroy with the hand or fist, and “Do” means art, or way.

As well as being employed by armed forces in several nations, it is also an exciting sport, with one version being present in the Olympic Games.

Mr McNally had been teaching for 12 years already and decided to create the association so he and his students were not restricted by any organisation in what and whom they could work with and share knowledge and time
The A.T.K.D.A is a founder member of the International Tae Kwon-Do Council, which was founded in 2010, as an international body to guide martial artists and provide many services for Tae Kwon-Do instructors.
